23 more digital documents have been granted legal validity
The law, which provides for amendments to 17 laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been approved and has come into force as of today. As a result of the law's entry into force, the submission of information on 23 types of documents through the Electronic Government Information System (EGIS) will be considered equivalent to the submission of physical carriers of these documents.
As a result of the mentioned changes, digital information on basic documents and licenses that are widely used in migration, labor, employment, insurance, education, traffic, property issues, as well as entrepreneurial activity will have legal force. These documents are digital documents resulting from services that will be organized based on life events. This innovation allows citizens to submit relevant information to the other party through the "mygov" application and further accelerates the transition to digital government. In addition, special mechanisms are also introduced to verify the accuracy of the information submitted through the system. Thus, when a citizen submits digital documents, the other party (service-providing institutions and organizations) can verify the accuracy of this information through the "mygov Checker" platform.
These important changes in the legislation are considered a significant step towards accelerating the digitalization process in the country, facilitating citizens' access to public services, and transferring paper-based processes to digital formats.
